What are the main types of signs?
Signs are very common in the workplace, from a construction site, a factory, a hotel or a restaurant. Even an office must have the proper signage.
Depending on what each sign indicates, its shape and pictograms must be of a certain form:
- Obligation: round shape with white pictogram on blue background.
- Prohibition: round with the black pictogram on a white background, with red borders and cross band.
- Warning: triangular with black pictogram on yellow background and black border.
- Help: white pictogram on red background.
- Evacuation: white pictogram on green background.
- Information: white pictogram on blue background.
Sign manufacturing materials
Manufacturing materials are varied and often depend on their location and purpose. These are the most common:
- Polystyrene: rigid, lightweight and with high impact resistance. With the option of luminescent ink.
- Adhesive vinyl: high adhesion, for use in offices, industry or warehouses. If the lighting is poor, there is also the option of photoluminescent adhesive vinyl.
- Transparent methacrylate: excellent material for evacuation routes or fire protection equipment.
- Photoluminescent PVC: for immediate identification.
- White lacquered aluminium: good rigidity and resistance.
- Gold/silver aluminum: resistance and good integration in decoration environments.
What signs do you use as prevention of coronavirus infection?
With the arrival of the coronavirus crisis, the use of signs such as the obligation to wear a mask or wash hands has increased considerably. To facilitate their identification, at Reysan we have prepared a special category of COVID-19 signs.
